Dreamtime Paintings by the 3/4 Class

The Grade 3/4 Art class just completed a challenging project. We learned about the Australian Aboriginal art style of dreamtime paintings. Artists use dots, lines, crisscrosses, and waves to create intricate pieces of art that tell stories about their history and beliefs. Students were encouraged to model their own paintings on this technique. All of the kids put a lot of effort into their work, and are very proud of their finished products. Here are just a few examples. Come to the school and check out the rest on our bulletin boards!
